The ISO 9001 certification of  the Chimie Balard Cirimat Carnot Institute has been extended. Following the audits carried out in June and July 2018, this achievement results from an exhaustive effort to adapt to the 2015 version of the standards.

Renewal of the certificate: contracting is now one of the certified processes

The scope of the quality certification encompasses several activities of the Chimie Balard Cirimat Carnot Institute:

  • Supporting scientific excellence
  • Energising partner relations
  • Implementing good practices in contracting

Extension of the institute’s certification included this last activity. Passage to this new version of the standard was made possible by the work of the process managers and all of the persons involved in the activities.

For the Chimie Balard Cirimat Carnot Institute, certification represents recognition of the actions undertaken to increase the satisfaction of the institute’s partners. In this context it is also an important means of action for continuous improvement. For the institution’s industrial partners, this certification guarantees the professionalism and effectiveness of the partnership relation.

A guarantee of an efficient partnership for companies

Implementing a global quality management process is a mark of confidence for companies. It is with this idea in mind that the Carnot Charter has promoted quality management amongst the 38 French Carnot institutes.

Today, this approach has grown in scope to include the stakeholders and collaborators of the Institute: laboratories, technical platforms, oversight institutions. The value chains concerned are Research, Training, Technological Platforms, Technology Transfer and Innovation.

The Chimie Balard Cirimat Carnot Institute has appropriated this process of professionalisation, relying on an organisational structure that is coherent with shared strategic objectives.

Beyond the satisfaction gained from obtaining this certification, this success opens new perspectives for the coming months and years. The acquisition of a QMS (quality management system) software to facilitate the steering of the structure and the appropriation of a CSR (Corporate Social Responsability) model will send strong signals to the partners.
